I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of † See (4) Debates cx., 1378. Ireland if he will state the number of constables of the Royal Irish Constabulary doing town duty in Monaghan, and to what particular denomination do they separately belong.

Eleven constables, of whom ten are Roman Catholics and one is a Protestant.

Is it proposed to split up the barracks into religious compartments?
