HC Deb 28 May 1902 vol 108 c780
MR. MARSHALL HALL (Lancashire, Southport)

To ask the First Commissioner of Works if he will advise the authorities to give the same facilities, subject to such regulations as may be thought desirable, to hackney cabs for using the roads in Hyde Park after 7 p.m. daily as are now accorded to private carriages.

(Answer.) The rules for Hyde Park, under the Parks Regulation Act of 1872, provide that "hackney carriages may only enter at Victoria and Alexandra Gates, and may only use the direct road between those gates." I regret that I cannot undertake to advise an alteration of this Rule.—(Office of Works.)
