§ MR. FIELDI beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether his Department is aware of the legislative measures now enforced in Germany to discourage gambling in futures in grain and options in other products; and whether the Government will consider the question of introducing similar legislation to safeguard the producers and consumers of the three kingdoms.
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURI am aware of the German legislation regulating produce exchanges. There is no intention to introduce similar legislation in this country.
