HC Deb 13 May 1902 vol 108 c23
MR. WEIR (ROSS and Cromarty)

To ask the Lord Advocate if he will state the probable outlay which the completion of the road between Carloway and Stornoway would necessitate; and the I length of the road which is still incomplete.

(Answer.) I am informed by the engineer of the Scottish Office that of the new road between Stornoway and Carlo-way, 8 miles have been completed, 4⅔ miles have been partially made, and 3⅓ miles are entirely unmade. He estimates the cost of finishing the road throughout at not less than £10,000.—(Scottish Office.)
