§ MR. FIELDI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the fund for the erection of fishery piers in charge of the Board of Works, Ireland, is exhausted; and, seeing that applications have been made and promises given for the building of such piers at Liscannor and other places around the coast, whether he will arrange to bring in a measure to provide the necessary funds to enable those works to be carried out with the co-operation of the Department of Agriculture, Ireland, and the local ratepayers interested.
§ MR. ATKINSONMy right hon. friend stated, so recently as the 24th of April, that he was considering legislation which, if passed, will assist in placing certain fishery harbours in a more satisfactory position, but that he was unable at the present stage to give pledges in respect of particular harbours.
