O'SHAUGHNESSY (Limerick, W.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will cause an inquiry to be held into the matter of railway rates for goods, coal, and agricultural produce conveyed from one part of Ireland to another, and further into the rates charged on articles exported from Ireland to different parts of Great Britain, and goods imported from the latter, in order that the same may be arranged on a basis of equality.
§ MR. ATKINSONMy right hon. friend has recently stated, in answer to a similar Question, that he is not at present prepared to recommend an inquiry of the character mentioned.
