CAINEI beg to ask the Secretary of State for India if he has yet received any detailed information showing the success or otherwise of the agricultural banks started in the united provinces as the result of Mr. Dupernex's experiments in the Allahabad District; and if he can lay any Papers upon the Table of the House.

They are as yet in the experimental stage. I will lay on the Table the Report of the Committee appointed by the Government of India to consider the subject of agricultural banks for India, if the hon. Member will move for it.
