§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, in view of the recommendation of the War Office that £100,000 should be expended for the erection of barracks for British troops at Khartoum, will he say what decision has been arrived at by the Treasury in regard to the mode of charge for these barracks.
LORD STANLEYThese barracks were commenced out of funds supplied under the Supplementary Estimate of the 20th July, 1900, and are being continued under the loan of 1901, as provided in the Schedule to the Military Works Act of that year.
