I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he will state the number of persons prosecuted in Ireland under the Criminal Law and Procedure (Ireland) Act from 1st December, 1901 to 21st March, 1902, and in how many cases convictions were obtained; and also to state the number of persons against whom prosecutions are pending.

Fifty-four persons have been prosecuted under the Act, between the dates mentioned. Of these thirty-two were convicted, fourteen were bound over to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and in eight cases the charge was dismissed or withdrawn. Prosecutions are pending against five persons.
