HC Deb 18 March 1902 vol 105 cc443-4

On the Motion for the Adjournment of the House,

* SIR CHARLES DILKE (Gloucester, shire, Forest of Dean)

asked the First Lord of the Treasury whether he could state on what terms the Army scheme would be submitted for discussion on Friday.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

I understand that some technical difficulties have arisen. It might be possible, though I understand it would not be very regular, to discuss the proposals on the Vote for the salary of the Secretary of State for War, but in any case the House may rest assured that we will find some form of procedure which will enable my right hon. friend's new proposals to be discussed. I fancy that that is all that is desired. I am afraid that I cannot indicate at present the form which the procedure will take.

Adjourned at a quarter after Twelve o'clock.
