HC Deb 13 March 1902 vol 104 cc1291-2
MR. JOYCE

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if his attention has been called to the omissions of the Waterford and Dundalk pilotage authorities to render statements of their accounts of their dealings with the pilotage funds (in accordance with Section 585 of the Merchant Shipping Act of 1894) for the years 1897, 1898, 1899, and 1900, in the case of Waterford, and for the years 1895, 1896, 1897, 1898, 1899, and 1900 in the case of Dundalk; and whether the Board of Trade will forthwith proceed to investigate the accounts of the pilotage funds of the ports mentioned, in accordance with the powers conferred upon them by the Act.

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

I am afraid there have been omissions both as to the receipt and presentation of some of these Returns. I will look into the matter, and communicate with the Waterford and Dundalk Pilotage Authorities.
