HC Deb 13 March 1902 vol 104 c1267
MR. WEIR

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India, in view of the fact that on 25th August, 1901, Balvant Ramchandra Natu addressed a communication to the Secretary to the Government of Bombay, Poona, in which he submitted an account for losses sustained owing to the attachment of his personal property, will he ascertain why no notice has been taken of this letter, not even an acknowledgment having been given, and whether the Government of Bombay have yet considered Sirdar Natu's claim.

LORD G. HAMILTON

I have no knowledge of any communication of the kind, but if the hon. Gentleman will furnish me with the information he has in his possession, I will consider whether the matter requires attention.

MR. WEIR

I think if the noble Lord had looked at the Question with greater care he would have ascertained why no notice was taken of the letter.

LORD G. HAMILTON

I will inquire when I have some facts to go upon.

MR. WEIR

I will send the noble Lord the facts.
