I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will lay upon the Table of the House a copy of any Acts passed during the last five years by the Commonwealth of Australia, or any of the Australian Colonies, relating to restrictions upon immigrants from any Asiatic countries, including British India and British Colonies and Protectorates, or relating to the employment of His Majesty's Indian subjects on ships touching at Australian ports; with any correspondence which may have taken place between the Colonial Office, the India Office, or the Indian Government with the object of safeguarding the rights of British Indian subjects in the Australian Colonies.
