HC Deb 07 March 1902 vol 104 cc725-6
MR. THOMAS O'DONNELL (Kerry, W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether Lord de Vesci has resigned his position on the Congested Districts Board; and, if so, whether he has appointed a representative to fill the vacancy; whether, considering the large part of Kerry scheduled as congested, the opportunities for developing the fishing industry along the coast, and the amount of the rates levied in the county, he will, in compliance with the unanimous demand of County and District Councils in Kerry, appoint a representative on the Board from that country.

MR. ATKINSON

An appointment has not yet been made to the vacancy on this Board. All communications in reference to the appointment have been duly considered, but I cannot give any undertaking as to the selection to be ultimately made.
