§ MR. CHANNING (Northamptonshire, E)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will state in what month and in what year the following concentration camps were first formed: Johannesberg, Potchefstroom, Irene, Heidelberg, and Standerton.

While referring to these camps, I may take the opportunity to mention another matter connected with the subject. In the debate the other day† I was taking on assumption the number of farm burnings, when I was met by interruption from hon. Gentlemen opposite, who thought the number was much larger. I have since inquired into the matter, and I now find that the number of farms burned up to the date when these camps were started was 634.
