HC Deb 20 June 1902 vol 109 c1256
MR. JAMES O'CONNOR (Wicklow, W.)

To ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether the compulsory retirement of Mr. Stubbs, late overseer in the employment of the Irish Board of Works, was due to any misconduct or irregularity on his part in connection with his duties as an officer of the Board of Works.

(Answer.) The supervision exercised by Mr. Stubbs had for some time past been unsatisfactory. The Board of Works took the most favourable view of this fact by attributing it to his physical condition.—(Treasury.)
