MACVEAGHI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the landlords of Ireland have formed a combination with the object of defeating the efforts of the tenant farmers to obtain compulsory sale and fair rents; and whether, in view of the fact that the tenants are being prosecuted on charges of conspiracy, it is intended to take any, and, if so, what steps against the landlords.
