§ MR. BROADHURST (Leicester)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can state the amount of the bounties paid by the Canadian Government on the manufacture or export of steel.
§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (Mr. J. CHAMBERLAIN,) Birmingham, W.Up to the 23rd of April last the bounty on steel made in Canada was three dollars per ton. From that date it is subject to an annual reduction until it expires altogether on 30th June, 1907.
