§ MR. WHITLEYI beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury if he can state what is estimated to be the increased cost of paper, printing and binding due to the present method of carrying out the new rule with regard to Questions to which oral answers are not desired.
§ MR. AUSTEN CHAMBERLAINOn the assumption that the number of Questions remains on an average about the same as during the last few weeks, the Controller of the Stationery Office estimates the increased cost at about £1,700 for a session of ordinary length.
§ MR. WHITLEYWill the hon. Gentleman consider the possibility of effecting economies under this head?
