I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will refer to the Committee appointed to inquire into the allowances to prosecutors and witnesses in criminal cases the question of some allowances being made to witnesses and jurymen attending and serving on coroners' inquests.

I do not think it would be desirable to extend the reference to the Committee in the manner suggested.
