HC Deb 10 June 1902 vol 109 c237
MR. LOWE (Birmingham, Edgbaston)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether he has any information showing the manner in which the Volunteers regard the invitation to come to London for the Coronation ceremonies at their own expense and to perform duties without payment; whether he will state the exact terms upon which the Yeomanry have been invited to attend; and, seeing that since the precedent of the Jubilee the Volunteers have been utilised for service abroad, whether he will reconsider the conditions under which they are asked to do duty at the Coronation.

(Answer.) The circumstances under which the Volunteers have been invited to attend the Coronation ceremonies have been explained to my hon. friend, and I do not think any good purpose would be served by any further statement. (War Office.)
