§ SIR WILLIAM HOULDSWORTH (Manchester, N. W.)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether the Government will consider the expediency of extending to England the inquiry now proceeding by a Royal Commission into the physical training of boys in State-aided schools in Scotland.
§ MR. A. J. BALFOURI find that I answered a Question similar to that of my hon. friend on May 5th. I then said that it would be more prudent to await the result of the Commission now inquiring into the subject in Scotland—an inquiry which, though not absolutely 107 conclusive, must certainly throw considerable light on the English question, and in the second place we should await the result of our debates on the Education Bill.
