POWER (Waterford, E.)I beg to ask the First Commissioner of Works whether, in view of the dissatisfaction that prevails as to the electric lighting of the libraries, reading-rooms, and all the premises of the House of Commons, he will state what steps he proposes to take to remedy the present state of things.

St. Augustine's)I have instructed the engineer to consider whether a better distribution of light cannot be secured in these rooms, in the meantime, by way of experiment, I will have a number of reading lamps placed on the tables in one of the libraries.
