HC Deb 05 June 1902 vol 108 c1528
MR. WEIR

To ask the Lord Advocate if he will state when the work of erecting a beacon on Tannasgeir Loch, Carloway, Island of Lewis, will be finished.

(Answer.) I am informed by the Congested Districts Board that the erection of this beacon is not an easy job, as it is difficult to land cither men or material on the rocks, which are only dry at certain states of the tide, and that the Government engineer cannot give any assurance as to when it will be possible to finish the work.—(Scottish Office.)
