To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will state what was the total cost of the recent prosecutions at Ballinaford. County Roscommon, including cost of moving police; and who was responsible for ordering prosecutions under the Criminal Law and Procedure Act in these cases.

(Answer.) The prosecutions were ordered by the Executive Government acting upon the advice of the Law Officers. The expenses amounted to £24 18s.—(Irish Office.)
