I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he will state the amount 133 expended on the Irish University Commission up to date, and also the the amount received by each member of it.
§ THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. AUSTEN CHAMBERLAIN, Worcestershire)
The expenses of this Commission up to the present time are, in round figures: salaries, £450; travelling expenses, £1,200; shorthand, £570; printing and miscellaneous expenses, £1,000. No remuneration is paid to any member of the Commission.
