§ Mr. WEIRTo ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will state what sum has been paid for the site for a new post office at Hong Kong; what sum it is proposed to expend on the building; and whether the work has yet been commenced.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Chamberlain.)The cost of the site for the new post-office was $508,000. I have not yet received from the colony the plans nor the estimates of cost of the new building.
