HC Deb 25 July 1902 vol 111 c1266
MR. JOHN WILSON (Falkirk Burghs)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the fact that the balance available for Imperial expenditure from Scotland, after paying her own expenses of government, for the year ending 31st March, 1902, is £10,990,000, as compared with £2,570,000 for the same period from Ireland, he will now see his way to give at least as large a grant to the National Gallery, Edinburgh, as Ireland receives.

(Answered by Sir M. Hicks Beach.) I have nothing further to add to the answer I gave to the hon. Member on 9th July and to my other statements on the subject.
