To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether His Majesty's Government will pay the arrears of interest due on the Netherlands Railway, having regard to the fact that both principal and interest were guaranteed by the late Transvaal Republic, and duly paid up to 1st October 1900, and that His Majesty's Government took over the said railway.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Chamberlain.) His Majesty's Government are not prepared to make any statement at present.
