HC Deb 15 July 1902 vol 111 c243
MR. JOHN CAMPBELL (Armagh, S.)

'To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, whether his attention has been called to a resolution of the Armagh County Council, endorsing the action of the Kerry County Council, and urging that £50,000 of the unapportioned balance of £77,000 in the Local Taxation (Ireland) Account be distributed among the County Councils in Ireland; and whether he proposes to give effect to this resolution.

(Answer.) I have not seen the resolution. But on the general question of the disposal of the unexpended balance of moneys lying to the credit of the Local Taxation Account under Section 58 of the Local Government Act, 1898, I would direct attention to the provisions of Sub-section (5) of that section—(Irish Office.)
