I beg to ask the Lord Advocate if he can now state whether the Government intend to apply the Scottish equivalent of the English Educational Grant of £900,000 to educational purposes in Scotland; and, if so, in what manner it will be applied.

It has already been stated that the just claims of Scotland arising out of the additional grant to England will be †See preceding volume, page 1376. duly considered. But it would be premature at present to make any statement as to the amount or application of any additional grant.
