HC Deb 08 July 1902 vol 110 c1085
MR. BRIGG (Yorkshire, W. R., Keighley)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury if he will take steps to institute a Court of Chancery for Yorkshire, similar to the Court now existing in Lancashire.

THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR,) Manchester, E.

I should, of course, have to consult the Lord Chancellor on this matter, which is brought to my notice for the first time by the Question. I think the proposal would require legislation to carry it into effect, and that being so, I do not imagine it possible in the immediate future.
