I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India whether he will stat when copies of the Order in Council recently sanctioned by His Majesty, conferring additional powers on the Governor General of India, and authorising him to exercise them in territories of India outside British India, will b issued to Members; and whether, in view of the importance of the changes involved in this new Order and of other Indian questions awaiting the consideration of the House, he will arrange that the Indian Budget shall be taken at n earlier date than usual this session.

Steps have been taken to present to both Houses of Parliament the Indian (Foreign Jurisdiction) Order n Council dated the 11th of June, 1902, n accordance with the provisions of the Statute of 1890. As regards the Indian Budget, the date of the Statement will depend on the progress that is made with the other business of the session.
