COGHILL (Stoke-on-Trent)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the clerk to 1326 the County Council of Staffordshire, who receives a salary of £2,000 a year, and in additional allowance of £1,500 a year for clerks, is also allowed to continue his private practice; and whether this is an arrangement which is sanctioned by the Home Office.

Both salary and allowance are subject to reconsideration on the occurrence of a vacancy.
