M'LAREN (Leicester, Bosworth)I beg to ask the first Lord of the Treasury, whether, in the month of July of last year, or at any other time since the 653 negotiations between Lord Kitchener and General L. Botha took place, any proposals with a view to a settlement of the war in South Africa have been conveyed, directly or indirectly, to any member of the Cabinet on behalf of the leaders of the Boers.
