§ MR. M'LARENI beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board, whether his attention has been called to the number of new Bills that have been deposited for the construction of underground tube railways affecting various districts of the Metropolis; and whether, having regard to the desirability of establishing some system of public convenience in the selection of routes, he will cause these Bills to be referred to the Committee which considered the Bills of last session and whether that Committee will be re-appointed.
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURMy attention has been directed to this matter, 676 and it is receiving my best consideration, but I am not in a position to make a statement on the subject at present.
