§ SIR JOHN BRUNNER (Cheshire, Northwich)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board, whether he can state how many District Councils have asked for and how many have obtained the power given to Parish Councils by section 8 of the Local Government Act, 1894, to accept and hold any gifts of property, real or personal, for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish or any part thereof.
