§ SIR EDWARD SASSOONI beg to ask the Secretary of State for India 1020 whether Press messages will participate proportionately in the reduced rates to India; and, if not, can he explain why they will not so participate?
§ *LORD G. HAMILTONThe Press rate will be reduced from. 1s. 4d. to 1s. This is not in exact proportion to the reduction of the rate for ordinary messages, but the shilling rate appears to be a reasonable one, and I am not prepared to press the Companies for any further reduction at present.
