§ MR. ERNEST GRAY (West Ham, N.)I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether the Government intend to introduce to Parliament this session any proposals for the amendment of the law relating to musical copyright, in order that means may be provided for protecting traders who hold copyright in musical works from the injurious results of the sale of pirated publications.
§ MR. GERALD BALFOURThe Government have under consideration a Bill for the amendment and consolidation of the law relating to copyright generally. I am afraid I cannot hold out much hope that the Bill will be passed this session, but I am not prepared to deal in anticipation and independently with that part of the subject referred to by my hon. friend.
