§ MR. O'SHEEI beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether any assistance, by way of pension or otherwise, is or will be granted by the Government to persons who have been discharged from the Navy by reason of ill-health, so as to prevent them becoming a burden on the rates.
§ MR. PRETYMANProvision is already made in the King's Regulations for the award of pensions, either temporary or permanent, or of gratuities to men invalided from the Naval Service by reason of ill-health. The award of such pension or gratuity depends on certain conditions, the most important being the length of service of the individual and the cause and degree of his incapacity.
