§ MR. LAMBERTI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War what has been the additional cost of establishing the first, second, and third Army Corps; and when he will be in a position to announce the composition and numbers of these three Army Corps.
§ MR. BRODRICKIt is impossible to work out these figures with any accuracy while the troops are mainly in South Africa. The only expense so far incurred is in the Staff, and this could not be definitely stated as the Staff is largely employed in superintending the training of troops for South Africa. I replied to the concluding paragraph of the Question on Thursday last.
