§ MR. LABOUCHERE (Northampton)I beg to ask the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he will lay upon the Table of the House a Return setting forth all the contracts that have been entered into by the War Office for requirements connected with the South African War, with the names of the contractors, the nature of the contract, and the amount that has been paid in respect to those which have already been closed, and the amount that it is estimated will have to be paid in regard to those which are still running.
§ MR. BRODRICKI am afraid that I cannot undertake to consider the grant of a return on so enormous a scale and involving such immense labour until the war is over.
