To ask the Secretary of State for India if he will explain the reason of the delay in promulgating the increased rates of pay for the junior grades of officers of the Royal Army Medical Corps.

(Answered by Secretary Lord George Hamilton.) The matter to which the hon. Member rofers required, and has received, the consideration of the Government of India I am now in possession of their views, and have communicated my decision to the War Office, with whom it rests to publish the new rates.
