HC Deb 18 December 1902 vol 116 c1634
MAJOR SEELY () Isle of Wight

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty what proportion of the shell now on board His Majesty's ships is capped shell; whether he has any information showing that the newerform of cap now adopted for foreign navies has been proved by experiment to increase the penetrating power of projectiles striking at all angles; and what steps are being taken to provide all His Majesty's ships with these caps without delay.

(Answered by Mr. Arnold-Forster.) The matter referred to is regarded as of a confidential nature, and in the public interests it is undesirable to supply the information asked for.
