§ MR. REGINALD LUCAS (Portsmouth)To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether it is the intention of His Majesty's Government to make the grant of medals to employees in His Majesty's Dockyards retrospective, in any degree, as regards those who have already retired on pension.
(Answered by Mr. Arnold-Forster.) The regulations under which the Imperial service medal will be awarded provided that only those retiring from the service of the Crown subsequently to the 8th August last shall be eligible for the award of the medal. These regulations apply not only to dockyard employees, but to all other servants of the Crown.
