HC Deb 12 December 1902 vol 116 cc1026-7
MR. SEYMOUR OEMSBY-GOBE () Lincolnshire, Gainsborough

To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether, in the case of the Isle of Axholme Light Railway, to be constructed by the North Eastern Railway Company, he will consider the advisability of requiring the building of a bridge over the main street of the village of Haxey, as desired by the inhabitants of that place, instead of permitting the railway to cross the street on the level.

(Answered by Mr. Gerald Balfour.) I am not aware that any representations have been received from the inhabitants of Haxey in this matter, but if such representations are made they shall be brought to the notice of the officer who may be appointed to inspect the line prior to the opening thereof for passenger traffic.
