WEIRI beg to ask the Lord Advocate, in view of the fact that the law agents to the trustees of the Culloden Estate, Inverness-shire, have commenced the eviction of crofter tenants, will he consider the expediency of introducing legislation at an early date, such as will give crofters holding under lease the benefits of The Crofters Acts, 1886.

GRAHAM MURRAYI am given to understand proceedings have been taken in one case for the removal of a tenant holding under lease on the estate referred to and therefore not a crofter within the meaning of the Crofters Holdings Act. As regards legislation I have nothing to add to the answers already given to the hon. Member on several occasions.
