HC Deb 05 December 1902 vol 116 c126
MR. HERBERT ROBERTS () Denbighshire, W.

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether an understanding has been arrived at between the Nizam of Hyderabad and the Viceroy of India with reference to the finances of Hyderabad; and whether he is in a position to make a statement as to the reforms which, in the opinion of the Government of India, are required in the administration of that Indian State.

(Answered by Secretary Lord George Hamilton.) I have no knowledge of any understanding between the Government of India and the Nizam as to the finances the Hyderabad State, but an agreement has been arrived at as to the Hyderabad Assigned Districts, Papers relating to which I hope soon to be able to lay upon the Table.
