WEIRI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, if he will state whether contracts for the supply of provisions and beverages to the field force canteen at Pretoria are subject to the same regulations as prevail in the case of War Office contracts in this country; and whether it is the practice in South Africa to give all such contracts to the lowest tender.
