HC Deb 02 December 1902 vol 115 c914
COLONEL WYNDHAM MURRAY () Bath

To ask the Postmaster General whether, in view of the rates charged by parcels post to South Africa and the consequent expense to the troops still remaining there, he can make any reduction in these charges.

(Answered by Mr. Austen Chamberlain.) I have within the last fortnight made a proposal to the Colonial Office on this subject for communication to the different Colonial Administrations concerned, which I hope may lead to a reduction in the present rates. Until I am in possession of the reply of the Colonial Governments I can do nothing further.
